Thanks to all who attended our 2012 AGM & Supper. There were over 40 members present at the AGM where a number of topics were discussed including possible events for 2013 and the election of Committee members. The Chairmen and Treasurer’s reports were issued together with information on our Dobies seeds discount and members had the opportunity to see a video on Project Uganda including sight of the new solar powered water pump that the Society helped fund last year.
68 people sat down for Supper after the AGM and were treated to excellent food from our caterer – beef carbonnade with herb scones, mash and vegetables, followed by a choice of orange cheesecake and caramelised oranges or apple pie with custard or cream, cheese & biscuits, homemade chocalates, tea and coffee. The bar served a choice of alcoholic or soft drinks and everyone enjoyed their food whilst viewing the cabbage walking stick entries and taking part in the quiz and raffle.
Many thanks to everyone who made the evening possible, the Committee, the caterer, helpers and most of all the Society members for their continued support. We look forward to a busy calendar of shows, talks and events next year.
